What and where is Montenegro? If you traveled to the former Yugoslavia before the war then you would not observe the current break in the Dalmatian coastline. What is now Southern Croatia and Montenegro was once a complete package for a visitor at that time. The Montenegro name is now rapidly gaining recognition as a world destination and if you've ever been there, it's plain to see why.
From coastline border to border it's only a 3-hour drive, but Montenegro delivers such interesting contrast that you have to see it to understand. At the right time of year you can see snow-caped mountain peaks with a steep slope right down to the Adriatic. Many beaches of fine sand to polished rocks can be located along the attractive coast; and even one that's 13km long! Mirror-like lakes and intriguing town settings are found if you venture from the sea, along with prolific vegetation absorbing the country wherever you drive.
The countries infrastructure is developing rapidly to support its ever-growing tourism sector, which means logistics and implementation of any type of event is now a reality. With only 1.5 hours separating our Dubrovnik office, joint country programmes are quite common and practical.
Montenegro and Croatia are complementary destinations and we have enjoyed great success developing programmes which showcase the attractions of both countries.
Two Montenegrin international airports, Podgorica and Tivat, provide direct connection with major European destinations. To the border of Montenegro there is only a 10 minutes drive across the Dubrovnik region where guests will become familiar with the area well known for its agricultural tourism and natural beauty. Montenegro, like Croatia, has made a quick rise from the ashes of war into one of the world's tourist hotspots, investing in road infrastructure to enable faster, safer, and more pleasant arrival and travel within the country.
International attention and individual attraction are evident within the tourism community and mainstream culture. Just look at the last James Bond movie as evidence of this. They chose the intriguing and enthralling name of Montenegro for the main sequence of their film. Portraying it as a gambling paradise, untouched and an unspoiled haven for the elite. Their views are on track with the direction Montenegro is taking.
